Before the Spanish colonizations, indigenous tribes have ruled this island nation. This band was created to pay homage to my ancestors. Colored mostly in black to signify the dawn before the colonization & before the world knew of the colors of this country. I added the sun & the stars to be able to easily identify the “Pearl of the Orient Sea.”
